LO3 Legal and Ethical Issues associated with planned show (matt)

Ofcom radio broadcast rules

This rule from the Ofcom regulations
applies to our radio show as we will be
playing our show early in the morning and
even though our show will be played
early in the morning, we still  must be
mindful that children may be listening
and make sure that we aren't using rude language or swearing. We must also make sure that the subjects that we are talking about and make sure they are not to sensitive.

Data protection

Data protection is important for our radio show as we intend on taking call ins ans stories from our
listeners and we must not disclose any information that they don't want us to i.e. phone number, name.
we must encrypt any personal data that we encounter to ensure that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

·         Write down how your ideas show that you have taken on board and do not break the guidance from Ofcom

We have taken on board the Ofcom regulations and how
it will effect our radio show i.e. i have considered how
our radio show will be implicated by the watershed and
how we will have to adjust our content so that we don't
broadcast any offencive language or mature topics as
children may be listening.

If we intend to have live call ins we must make it clear about any additional costs and any age restrictions that apply so we're complying with Ofcom rules and regulations.
